my story

I am potter who loves to create objects that bring joy to everyday occasions. I fell in love with clay while attending Landscape Architecture school in Toronto. I had taken a pottery class at the Dundas Valley School of Art “to take my mind off school”, and never looked back! I went to Sheridan College the following semester to start a three year Diploma program in Ceramics at the School of Crafts and Design. One of only a handful of ceramics Diploma programs in the country, it provided a wealth of technical knowledge and hands on making under the tutelage of Bruce Cochrane and Winn Burke. Feeling like I was not yet done playing with clay at school I headed off to Halifax with a car full of friends to get my BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. I immersed myself in all the school had to offer taking studio clay classes, as well as weaving, bookbinding, jewellery making and lots of art history.
